Getting Started with Acorns Playschool Greystones

Dear Parents,
To assist in the efficient running of Acorns Playschool Greystones we would appreciate if parents would note the following:
Playschool will open on Monday 31st August  at 9.00am until 12.30pm.
Fees may be paid weekly or monthly in advance. Fees are payable from September to June for all days booked including bank holidays, days absent and any holidays taken during term time. Fees will not be charged during the Christmas or Easter holidays.  Places cannot be guaranteed if fees are not paid in full and on time. Playschool holidays will be in accordance with local primary schools. Please note that mid-term break is fully payable.
Please let a member of staff know if a person (who must be over sixteen) other than parent/guardian is collecting your child. This person’s details must be written into our room note book.
Please notify us of a change of address or telephone number.
Please label your child’s coat, school bag, lunch box etc.
For insurance purposes children must be at least two years and six months of age, and fully toilet trained before starting playschool. (However any child can have an accident.) If your child is newly trained please provide them with a change of clothes in case of an accident.
Children should not arrive before 9.00 am as insurance cover only applies during playschool hours, and must be collected promptly at 12.30pm. Outside these hours Liability Insurance does not cover the Playschool and activities, any child on the premises are their parent’s responsibility. No liability shall be attached to Staff for accidents outside these hours.
A healthy snack is what we recommend you to provide for your child, such as water, milk, or a juice to drink, and crackers, cheese, sandwiches, fruit etc. You know what your child prefers to eat. We would appreciate no fizzy drinks if possible.  Please label your child’s lunch-box as it now has to be placed in our fridge until lunch time. This is a new regulation brought in by the Health Board.
We would ask that no high heels,(girls dress up shoes) slippers, flip-flops, crocks, wellie boots or football boots are wore by the children while in the playroom, this footwear is not suitable for outdoor play.
The play-school is fully insured and is a member of Early Childhood Ireland. We are also registered with, and inspected yearly by the HSE.
